Purpose of Role:

  • To have an overview of life-cycle of a small range of simple projects, they are able to interpret the stakeholder requirements under guidance, seek advice from Producer on possibilities of workflows in order to maximize accessibility of content and bridge the gap between the creative and technical.
  • The roles ambit starts with assessing assets, assisting with QA tasks, advising on technical feasibility of requests to creative, and delivering quality finished products on time and within budget.
  • Additional tasks would be around the maintenance of digital data:
    • Supporting the Producers in more complex title management.
    • General administrative support, vendor co-ordination and assistance across the team 

Key Responsibilities

  • To be able to manage every phase of simple fixed and reflow eBooks, until delivery to the supply chain.
  • Is responsible for working on the creation, structural editing and conception of layouts of digital products in conjunction with Creative and tech teams.
  • To help interpret and allow effective communication between tech/vendor and creative teams to deliver best possible digital product within agreed spec and timeframes.
  • Liaising with outsourcers to get content up to desired project specifications.
  • Managing scheduling and budget of title creation with outsourcers and communicating changes to the key stakeholders.
  • Liaising with an international team to understand project requirements and guiding the local team with the preparation and execution of the agreed plan
  • Ensure that all information is checked as thoroughly as possible for accuracy, design and layout across various digital platforms
  • Act as interpreters between Creative and technical teams to work out the technical and creative feasibility of a project.
  • Ability to grow an understanding of all technical logic and come up with logical solutions to automate issues or take in Creative requests.
  • Get a sense of the overall work within the department and pitch in as and when necessary with ideas and hands-on help to meet the rel="noopener" targets for the team.
  • Ensure all apt documentation on workflows, checklists and schedules are maintained at various stages of any project.
  • Maintain service levels provided and relationships with key stakeholders across the business.

 

Required Skills 

 

  • Essential
    • Graduation degree from recognized institute/university.
    • Have an aptitude and enthusiasm for learning new technologies and thinking creatively and logically
    • Ability to multitask and work with a diverse team across multiple  projects 
    • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Capacity to interpret creative and business needs and work with technical team/vendors to build appropriate digital responses.
  • Desirable
    • Some experience of project management.
    • Ideally some experience in creating/editing web-based and/or interactive media products
    • Basic to mid-level experience in XML authoring and editing tools such as XML Spy, Oxygen, xopus, xmetal and HTML editors like Dreamweaver.
    • Basic proficiency in both analyzing and marking-up content and maintenance of structural and semantic consistency.
