Purpose of Role:

Work with the technical and creative teams across a range of titles to ensure files are error-free and printer-ready.  

Key Responsibilities

• Like-for-like checks vs previous editions when UK or US text is flowed into a new template/layouts.
• Check and update imprint details per latest DK brand guidelines.
• Check that all corrections marked-up by editors (or anyone else) have been taken in fully and accurately.
• In case of simple reissues/updates, check and ensure that all elements are present and accurate, folios, running heads, images, captions, labels, etc. Also, check that elements are on the right layer – Text and CMYK layers.

Required Skills

• Graduate degree from a recognized institute/university.
• 0–2 years’ work experience, preferably in a related field.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Computer literacy in Excel, and Word.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• The ability to multitask and handle a varied workload.
• The ability to take initiative and handle your own workload.
• The flexibility and enthusiasm to take on all tasks that are required.
• Basic proofreading and editing skills.
• Knowledge of InDesign.
