Dinosaur Day

This year at DK, we’re putting the nation’s favourite curiosity centre stage with our very first DINOSAUR DAY on 30 June.

 

In particular, we’re highlighting how – for many children across the UK – a love of dinosaurs is the introduction to the study of natural science and history. Because, when it comes to it, which kid doesn’t want to find out the size of a T-Rex? Or how fast velociraptors could run? Or if Plesiosaurs were indeed an amphibian or reptile?* (*all real questions from kids we've recently been asked)

 

DK is the world’s largest publisher of dinosaur books and these books have helped to expand the understanding of these mysterious and magnificent creatures for the best part of our almost 50 year history.

With dino books for all ages on offer, on 30 June and the weekend after, we’ll be encouraging the nation to celebrate dinosaurs through reading: working with paleontologists, schools and bookshops for a full weekend of dino fact-tastic entertainment.
