The entire region becomes immersed in fall foliage colors come September. Drive Vermont’s Route 100, one of the region’s impressive foliage drives, for a maple-lined journey from Arlington north to Smuggler's Notch. Or explore Boston, Portland, or any of the small towns in between.

While spring in Japan is certainly lovely with blooming cherry blossoms, autumn across the country is just as vibrant. Koyoor momiji, both meaning fall colors, can be enjoyed throughout the country from the end of September to early December. You can even pair your viewing with a tasty maple leaf-shaped cake, which are found throughout the fall season.
