Online resource for the curious
We want to support our readers with content that everyone can enjoy at home, wherever they are in the world.
The past year has been one of extraordinary change, particularly for education. Children’s lives (and the lives of their parents and caregivers) have been turned upside down as they adapt to a remote hybrid education. The experience of learning is now so different, with the absence of in-person interaction between child, teacher and friends. With intense live video learning to dense heavy texts to read alone - children still want and need to enjoy learning, and at DK, we want to nurture that enthusiasm as we believe in the power of discovery.

Many parents have had to become teachers overnight, and we know that it can be difficult to know where to begin. We believe that focusing on encouraging a thirst for learning and a curiosity for understanding is key, and you don’t need to be an expert on any subject to do that.
Our books have a distinctive place within education; our engaging content helps children to develop key skills and understand big ideas and how they relate to the world around them. Our inspiring photographs and illustrations are a true visual delight for curious learners of any age, and paired with simple text, make even the toughest subjects accessible.
We want to support our readers with content that everyone can enjoy at home, wherever they are in the world. That’s why we have created a free online home learning website, bringing together our very best content, authors and experts, and offering accessible, informative and inspirational resources for children of all ages. Teachers and families can access activity packs and resources which are organised by age group, utilising the content from the wealth of our publishing and covering core subjects, as well as more creative ‘hands-on’ activities to bring learning to life. We hope that making our content available to parents, caregivers and children will be one small step that DK can make a difference, as we all play our part in this crisis.
DK understands the importance of a parent’s role as an educator, and the specificities of every child’s unique needs and interests. We are committed to investing in our educational content, and with our help, your child’s path to discovery and learning can be fun and inspiring.
