This year's fashion at the Oscar's red carpet was like flipping through a fashion magazine. Emotions ranged from: Blah... Love... Meh... Interesting... Boring... Seriously? This year seemed to pay homage to fairy-tale prom dresses, plunging necklines and safe choices. Sounds like every year at the Oscar's, correct? Don't get me wrong. I mean it's pretty hard not to admire stunning women wearing equally stunning clothes... But I guess you'll say, who cares! After all it was the year of the Leo, right?

Those who did make the list:

Brie Larson in a refreshing, royal blue deep-neck gown with a ruffled train. Though it did give a prom night-feel, Larson glowed in the Gucci dress with its embellished statement belt. The blue did wonders to her skin-tone and the sleek hairdo (with matching hair accessory) completed the look. Well, guess you could say it was her night as well.

Margot Robbie in an structured Tom Ford. The actress looked a stunning, strong feminine version of the Oscar statue in this embossed snakeskin metallic dress. With minimal jewellery and a black clutch, she was a golden girl, indeed.

Saoirse (pronounced: sair-sheh. Yep, I Googled it!) Ronan paid homage to her Irish roots by wearing a figure-hugging, emerald green sequined gown. The dress, with a daring plunging back, brought out the colour of the Ronan's eyes. A soft hairdo and smouldering eye makeup let her dress take center stage. Stunning, really.

Naomi Watts showed us how it's done! In a sleek, purple-sapphire strapless gown, the actor really stood out in that bevy of fairy-tale princesses at the ball. She looked feminine and full of substance. Open hair falling with a slight wave and reddish-maroon lipstick complimented this mermaid-like dress, which she teamed with a Bulgari diamond statement neck-piece. Well played, ma'am.

Daisy Ridley looked young and fresh in a silver-gray embellished ankle-length dress. The straight-cut intricately detailed sheath with its plunging back, grabbed attention as out of the ordinary even on the Oscar's red carpet and this totally worked in Ridley's favour. A very sophisticated look on someone you must keep your eye on.

Well! Not to forget our very own Priyanka Chopra, who chose a Zuhair Murad gown for her big Oscar debut. The strapless wedding-white sheer gown with floral embellishments was held at the centre with a silver belt. PeeCee finished her look with multiple big rings and earrings – a trademark Lorraine Schwartz. The actor certainly knows her Hollywood game plan. Choosing red carpet fashion gurus Murad and Schwartz was no innocent move, peeps!

Those who missed out:

Reese Witherspoon – No. Alicia Vikander – Umm... No? Kerry Washington – No way! Heidi Klum – What?!

Big bonus: Here's Leo, who was all of us needing a desperate win on a groggy Monday. Cheers!
