Sodium bicarbonate, 400g (14oz)
Citric acid, 200g (7oz)
Dried rose petals, 2–3 tsp
Cocoa butter or vegetable oil, 1 tsp
Geranium essential oil, 10 drops
Rose absolute essential oil, 5 drops
Water, 1 tsp
Add the fragrant bath bomb to a warm bath and let it dissolve while you recline and relax.
1. Lightly grease ice-cube moulds (a spray oil is ideal for this). Measure out the dry ingredients, then mix all of them together.
2. Melt the cocoa butter in a bain marie (see p. 188), and add the essential oils. Add the melted cocoa butter to the dry ingredients and mix.
3. Add water with an atomizer and bind the mixture with your hands until it resembles damp sand and sticks together without fizzing. If it's crumbly, add a bit more water.
4. Firmly press into the moulds and allow to set for at least 1 hour. Turn from the moulds and use as required. The bombs keep for up to 3 months.
